It’s always a special thing to photograph the wedding of a friend. Sophie and I have been friends since we were very small. Our mums were childhood friends, and the fact that we only saw each other once a year didn’t matter a bit to our friendship. You know a true friend when you can meet up after long absences and just pick up right where you left off. It was Sophie and her Polaroid camera that led me to purchase my very first Polaroid camera on a Paris trip together in 2003, so she was there almost at the start of my passion for taking pictures.
Sophia and Chris got married just outside Nottingham, and held their detail-filled reception at a fabulous local village hall. The decor was just fantastic. Red curtains, tons of fairy lights ~ it really reminded me of a 1940s style party. The cake was just beautiful and Chris surprised Soph in the speeches with a hilarious music video of him performing Patrick Swayze’s “She’s like the Wind”. Cheeks were certainly hurting afterwards.
Congratulations Sophie and Chris! I know you guys will be very happy together.

I absolutely love these photos, I see a lot of wedding photos, and these are some of the best I've seen in ages. I did Sophia's wedding bouquets, it's lovely to see how beautifully it all came together.
