I don’t know where to start with Anika and Matt’s wedding. Every now and again, all the elements combine to create something magical. They were working overtime here. You take a lovely, sweet couple, add a sprinkling of smiling guests in their finery, a dash of electric chemistry, a London park and wham, you find something wonderful. And the light? So rare to find sunshine with that soft look in this country. To quote a favourite phrase, it’s positively Californian.
Preparations began at the Haymarket Hotel, before Anika and her bridal party headed around the corner to the ICA in a vintage Citroen DS. I have fond memories of the ICA ~ one of the first gigs Greg and I saw together was The Killers play there in 2004 (before they were famous & before they were rubbish…ahem), so it was lovely to go back, especially as Anika and Matt’s wedding was the day of my sixth wedding anniversary. What a perfect way to celebrate.

I think you’ll agree Anika has the most incredible bone structure. What a face.

A little sing-along to The Beatles’ “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”, before some beautifully personalised vows. Then it was time to drink champagne in the private garden, surrounded by beautiful trees and Georgian buildings. I love London in the sunshine.

A few of the below shots rank as some of my all time favourites.

Their chemistry is electric.

The amazing music lent an informal edge to the day.

Thank you, Anika & Matt. I wish you a wonderful future growing old together.
